The UBC School of Population and Public Health has partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society, BC & Yukon to deliver the Be Well at Work research project. It will evaluate the effectiveness of three different workplace wellness approaches on reducing the risk of cancer through healthy lifestyle choices (healthy eating, physical activity, normal body weight) and on creating healthy workplaces at three different universities. UBC’s Okanagan campus, Thompson Rivers University and the University of the Fraser Valley are the three participating universities.

Be Well at Work launched Feb. 15th, 2011. Enrolment ended March 29, 2011.

  • a personalized health assessment of your diet and physical activity
  • prizes! a stainless steel water bottle and other gifts everyone receives for completing assessments during the year, and put your name in for a draw prize for an Ipod Shuffle for completing the first assessment!

This research is funded by the Canadian Cancer Society (Grant # 21032).
